  how suicidal thoughts can take over your life.. i lived most of my life thinking about suicide.

  i have clear memories when i was 8 years old thinking about what it would be like to die.

  Thank you for your honesty Lady Lee. It's hard to open and and talk about suicidal ideation. I sincerely hope you find peace in your relationship with your daughters.

  I never saw any protesters or picketeers or any apostate literature while I was a dub. the only thing I ever came across was the occasional radio broadcast that I quickly changed the station.

  In Memory of Sheeba

  (i'm not sure this is the correct sub-heading, but - since i was her 'doggie-mommie'...).

  this is in tribute to the best doggie weve ever had, sheeba.

  i first met sheeba in the autumn of 1997. id been driving past the local countys animal shelter the dog pound for several years.

  i have been going to another church now for quite a while, the elders do know this and confirmed this when they visited me over something else.

  however i have no idea if i have been disfellowshipped or not, should i call them and find out, or just let it go?

  i cant really say that it doesn't bother me, because i would like to know.

  Would they bother notifying you if they were going to treat your "offense" as a voluntary disassociation rather than a disfellowshipping? The announcement and the shunning are the same, so there's really no material difference other than not needing to convene a judicial committee for a disassociation.

  There was a family in my former hall that kept switching back and forth to a different hall. Just Ron always thought that the husband was offended at never being given any responsibilities - I don't think he was ever even on the mowing list. But they were so unreliable as far as attendance went that how could he be given any sort of regular assignment.

  My sister's house burned down

  she and her husband live in rural wisconsin.

  they were away for their anniversary when their home burned down, killing their three cats.

  they lost everything.

  Poor kitties :( I think I could cope with the loss of my physical possessions, but I would feel so bad about my pets dying or a person getting hurt.

  My birthday

  today i am celebrating my first birthday after dutifully refusing to observe birthdays, thanks to the jehovah's witnesses.

  not for as many years compared with most of you, but enough, and worst of all was that i dutifully refused even to celebrate my grandchildren's birthdays.

  that hurt me far more than them.
